Cappadocia Café

Cappadocia Café Restaurant is a Mediterranean cum Turkish restaurant situated at Robertson Quay: 11, Unity Street, #01-12, Robertson Walk, Singapore 237995Tel / Fax : 6732 2411

We ordered the Karisik Meze Tabagi, which consisted of Yaprak Sarma, Cacik, Hummus, Sigara Boregi and Bread. Yaprak Sarma is vine leaves stuffed with pilaf rice, pine nuts, currants and caramalized onions drizzled in olive oil. Hummus is mashed chick peas, tahani, olive oil and spices. Cacik is made of diced cucumbers in yogurt with fresh dill, mint and garlic. Sira Boregi is a rolled savoury pastry with feta cheese and spinach stuffing. On top of that for starters we also ordered the Moutabel which is a blend of mashed smoked eggplant with tahini, olive oil and spices.
I enjoyed the sira boregi and of course the hummus and cacik. The Moutabel wasn't anything to rave about.
For our main courses, I opted for Pideler, Turkish Pizza. I ordered the Pastrima Kasarli that is made of sliced roasted lamb, mozerella and egg. I think Jian ordered the Beef Shish Kebab and Sumdumful ordered the Patlican Sis Kofte, which is grilled skewered minced beef and eggplant.

The meal was pretty ok, I felt that the lamb needed more seasoning, but all in all we had a delightful evening.
