Eastern Cafe at River Valley Road
The worst possible breakfast one can have on a public holiday... I should have just made my way to Beo Crescent Market or even Zion Food Market.
Carrot Cake - Lo Bak Go - more like a flour cake ... I did not taste any radish in it at all.
Half boiled egg overcooked
Teh had a bad after taste...
Overall FAIL!

Fish Tales - Clark Quay
Actually I first knew about Fish Tales awhile ago, I was introduced by a friend that is mad crazy about oysters as well! They were having their Weds $1 Oyster special.... I had been there many times in the past year ... never really enjoyed any of their other dishes until ....... recently when I went back with Satellite.
So low and behold, we went to fish tales cause I knew I can get oysters there! Anyway, well what do you know ... Monday's is special for lobster .... my lil crustacean friend .... yummmy .... and finally finally it was from BOSTON and I didn't have to chop off my arm to pay for it!!!
So Satellite and I shared a half dozen "nude" oysters, crab cake (wah it was huge!) and of course my BOSTON LOBBY .... STEAMED not BAKED! I don't know why but so many people mess things up when they bake it .... Oh and of course oysters goes with Bubbly, so we tried a bottle of bubbly, Odette Pol-Roger. It was nice, no wonder Winston Churchill was a long time customer...
Seriously though, 1 crab cake can be considered a meal there for those of you that don't eat much ... The lobby had a lemon butter which I didn't quite like, so I asked them to just give me some plain melted butter .... I feel that's the best way to eat it. Oh yah, and I forgot to take the pic of the lobby ... I was too excited to eat the darn thing ... so here's the mega huge crab cake!
As usual my photos suck ... gotta get a real camera sooner or later!

1 Lunch and 2 Dinners
Brussels Sprouts
80 Mohammed Sultan Road #01-12 The Pier @ Robertson
Tel: 6887 4344
A beautiful day like Sunday landed me at Robertson Quay... my favorite hangout place on Sundays; you gotta love the ambience. And instead of coffee, tea or juices, we started with the typical breakfast for a sunday!
Unfortunate for you all, I didn't go out with my handy camera and was just using my phone to take pics, so the images are really off in colour.
Expensive food but cheap drinks and nice comfie decor, but I think you would rather stick to sitting inside cause the outside seats do get pretty warm. If you are looking for better mussels, you may want to try out Ooster http://www.oosters.com.sg/ at Pekin Street, I hear they have a good selection of Belgian beers as well.
The food was good, we had a type of crab meat salad which was deliciously done, and then shellfish bisque, which kind of tasted like penang prawn mee soup base, which we also loved; lastly we tried the steak (rib eye). Pretty much a thumbs up, too bad not many people knew about their restaurant ... from my understanding, there set lunches were reasonable.
I won't bother with posting up the address because they're closing down anyway and whatever takes over that spot will probably have a new kitchen crew and all.
I find it pretty disappointing that people don't know how to enjoy the Crazy Horse show as a type of French Art .... I mean honestly speaking the end of Crazy Horse may set back the education that Singapore has been trying to promote by maybe 2 years. Too early for their time, but of course the show does get stale if they don't do anything about changing the sets; however, that being said, Crazy Horse could have done more ... so I guess they weren't fully ready to take on Singapore and Singapore also wasn't ready for something like this.
